LINAK has developed a desk lift, DL14, which meets the new market demands for desk constructions without crossbars. The DL14 can be installed easily at low construction costs. The DL14 will be presented at the Interzum Exhibition in Cologne in May 2009.
The demands for this new desk lift were high:
- It had to be very compact, and it should put the furniture manufacturers in a position to observe all required standards, including the strict American BIFMA Norm, with their desks. The DL14 lifting column meets these requested demands and it is very suitable for the construction of desks without crossbars. Thereby, LINAK is responding to a trend in the market – desks without crossbars and thus high leg freedom.
Motor and gear are integrated in the column. The new DL14 lifting column has a built-in dimension of only 525 millimetres, but a stroke length of 660 millimetres. For the engineers it was a particular challenge to achieve these criteria. Motor and gear had to be as compact as possible to make such a stroke length. At the same time, quality could not be sacrificed.
„LINAK actuators are characterised by reliability and longevity. The desk lifts must demonstrate this reliability in a numerous of tests“, says Søren Rasmussen, Managing Director of LINAK GmbH, Germany.
Thanks to the compact installation dimensions and the integration of motor and gear in the DL14 lifting column, furniture manufacturers can easily complement their product ranges with an electric height-adjustable desk without construction costs. As motor and gear do not need a place of their own it is enough simply to change the legs to convert a static desk into a dynamic desk. For the furniture manufacturers it is easy and thus cost-effective to offer a desk series with different variants.
- The DL14 lifting column has an outer diameter of 70 millimetres.
- The DL14 lifting column is available in the standard colours black, grey and white.
- The lifting speed is 38 millimetres per second.
- The new desk lift is compatible with the control boxes CBD4 and CBD5 and with all available LINAK controls.
The DL14 inline solution enables the producer to integrate electrical adjustable solutions in existing design
The DL14 offers a very low built-in dimension and at the same time long stroke lengths
